Akhtar Association is pleased to invite you to the 6th edition of its festival, an event that celebrates the richness and diversity of dance from around the world.

There will be immersive workshops, artist meetups, and performances full of emotion and inspiration.

A special occasion for all those who live and breathe dance!

The festival will culminate on Saturday, June 14 at the Aula Sismondi in Geneva, with a gala dedicated to cultural diversity.

During this unforgettable evening, the audience will enjoy a journey through traditional and contemporary dances from regions along the Silk Road, performed by both local and international artists.

Akhtar Association invites you to take part in a series of immersive workshops and discover some traditional dances from the Silk Road, led by exceptional artists.
 

Maria Robin (FR), our guest of honour of this years edition of Extravadanz!a, will lead two workshops focused on North Indian dances: Ghoomar, a royal dance from Rajasthan, and Kalbeliya, a nomadic dance known for its fluid, serpentine style.

Amina Laforce (CH/CN) will offer a workshop of Dolan dance, a traditional Uyghur dance marked by hypnotic rhythms and expressive movements — a reflection of the rich and refined cultural heritage of this Turkic people from Central Asia.

Finally, Mariya Khan (CH/AZ) will offer two workshops on Caucasian dances, inspired by the elements of fire and water — blending power, grace, and deep symbolism.
